Memorial gym is in the works for a overhaul makeover! The renovation of memorial gym is estimated to cost approximately 12.5 million dollars. In the gym they will be creatin a new basketball court with an expected capacity of 3,100 people, a sure improvement considering there is no seating in the memorial gym currently. Along with a permanent home for the basketball team, each varsity sport with have their own dedicated locker room. The plan also states that the gym will improve their acedemic support center along with updated heating, ventilation, electrical work, lighting, and air conditioning. Possibly most exciting for athletes is the idea of modernizing their training rooms and makeing it easily accessible for indoor and outdoor sports. A date for renovations has not yet been set, but for the athletes sake, lets hope it is sooner raher than later!
